Serrated Metal Gasket is usually called Kamprofile Gasket,
which is used for high-temperature and high-pressure
general flange for piping, pressure vessel, heat exchanger,
valve bonnet, etc.
Serrated Metal Gasket has smaller contact surface
compared with flat metal gasket, which has excellent
sealing performance by small connecting force.
If there is small hardness difference between flange and
gasket, flange’s contact surface can be damaged
Because of the fact, flange damage can be prevented and
sealing performance can be increased by applying layer
such as soft graphite, PTFE, non-asb, silver, etc. for
serrated surface after processing |
